Hi: I watched the video on DBE which utilized symmetries. The annular example made sense to me in that the model needs to account for the bright circular area outlined by the symmetry to make an even background, as your example had rings of brightness from vignetting error.
I'm struggling with the use of the diagonal symmetry later in the video...it went through the galaxy.....I would have thought you would avoid the galaxy target area? Did it work perhaps because despite a high tolerance setting the DBE tool rejected very very bright pixels in the galaxy along that diagonal line?
