I think ZWO used a Panasonic MN34230 in these, but you could message Sam to confirm. You might also leave this in the Pixinsight forum. There may be a quicker answer there.
Just a followup. I had convinced myself originally the filters were the culprit. I had taken the flattener off to get a better look at the surfaces, and the images I collected at that point were OK. There was something about the flattener coatings t…
Hi Adam,Thanks so much for looking at this. I was suspecting the same. The scope is a 180mm refractor, so when I saw the WBPP results I brought the camera with flattener indoors and started testing with everything I have available. In total, I used …
From your screen shot, it looks like you're using master flats. You don't need bias frames. Look at the calibration diagrams and you should see how WBPP is doing the processing. Looks like all you need to do is click the run button.
Hi Adam, 1. I don't know if you work on the mountain in Tucson, but in the summers in Scottsdale that camera is groaning when it gets to about -2c. Until the monsoon starts, I can use lower temps for sequences after midnight. During monsoon though, …
I created new darks, bias frames, and flat darks, and processed everything in WBPP. I don't seem to be getting any improvement. I can do the pixel math tuning, but don't get acceptable results until I'm at +0.7 or more. Does that still sound reason…
Insert RGB Stars into Narrowband Image (Primary Method)Hi Adam,In this video, you're demonstrating a method to add RGB stars to a starless NB image. I don't see that prescribed anywhere in PI documents. If I've missed that procedure somewhere, pleas…
OK. Let's back up here. I don't have a dog in this fight. When I read the reference document, with attention to NB processing mode, I don't see any prescription of a need for RGB stars. If you create an instructional video that posits a need for RGB…
Adam - the doc is in the PI forum, announcements, SPCC. The link is buried in there.

I can understand why someone reading this would think there are contradictions.

Hi Adam,I'm looking forward to the video. I understand the premise, but when you read the Vicent and Juan SPCC reference document, it seems to suggest you only need narrow band images. It would be very helpful if you refer to that document and expla…
I did rerun from scratch, with the same result. I've also run several of my datasets without any issues. It may be some particular corruption with the file download. No response yet from the PI forum.
No warning with diagnostics, but I did the registry edit and I still halt with the "reference to undefined property" message. It creates a blue reference file, then abends on the green set. If I forego interactive mode, it runs to normal term.
An as…
I removed the master dark from WBPP and the resulting integrated master was fine. I had been doing the modeling run previously, and I must have set up a preprocess step in acquisition to subtract a dark before plate solve. Then, at 2 AM, I got the i…
I think you can still download windows 11 for free. Do a search and you should find more info thanyou'd want. Your new machine will have to be windows 11 capable (unless you make a registry change) and you'll have to make a bootable copy of the inst…
If it didn't have to be mobile I'd do an ATX case just for the component flexibility. But it's your choice based on your own personal requirements. Don't forget neither come with an OS or input devices.
Hi Tim,I think either of those options will work for you. I recently changed my Pix computer to a 5950, and it hasn't been the race horse I had hoped for, but its not bad. One consideration for you would be to use a small SSD for the OS and another,…
