Hi,I have been an astrophotographer since the late 1990's, starting with film. I put up a permanent observatory(pro dome) in Bristol Wisconsin in 2000 and was one of the first people to buy an RCOS 16" scope(from the original guys) with ion milled optics. I still use that scope along with a Paramount ME. I have also owned a lot at New Mexico skies since 2008 and plan to set up an observatory and possible home there in the near future.
The weather here is very poor for observing and the light pollution which really was not bad in 2000 has gotten very bad now. I am looking forward to warmer weather and clear skies!
