I have just been through your FastTrack training and I enjoyed it a lot so thanks for that. I have now tried to put my own data through the same steps as in Fast Track. I am coming up with a strange error when I load any single frame into PI, I get the above message in the Process Console. When I check the FITSHeader my FOCALLEN reads 97.7.... (various figures) when it should be 391. I am using a Edge 8HD with a Hyperstar V4 Setup.

  • Sorry that comment finished before I intended, This has happened over the last few months, all my data is read the same in the FITSHeader.
I wondered if anybody has any idea why this is happening.  Many thanks.

  • Thomas,

Your FITS header has either multiple conflicting information or the lack of it concerning the origin of the image.
The issue is that the software you are using to create the images (you didn't say) is writing conflicting information or leaving out an important bit (I think it is the up-down thing).

Please post your question to the official PixInsight forum for a proper answer to this one... in short I do not know the exact reason.
