Narrowband Imaging

Hi Adam

Was wondering if you have any experience processing narrowband images with PI.  Not sure how many people out there are doing it, but after years of doing one shot color imaging I am considering it (mostly because I have sold my dark sky property and am thinking about continuing my imaging in a more light polluted area).  I borrowed some narrowband images (Ha, O3, S2) from an acquaintance and have found that there is a script called SHO-AIP that is not included in the PI deployment but is available online.  As is common, there are a lot of buttons and sliders, and nobody explains what is "behind" all of those as well as you do.  Also, a general workflow approach to these kinds of images would be valuable.
Just a thought for some future tutorials if you would be into it.
Thanks

Ed

  • Hi Adam,

just coming back to Edwards question above on NB. Maybe I missed something but just would like to ask about it again. Same situation for me, will get the newest NB filters from Baader soon together with a QHY 600. Keen to use it.
Thanks a lot and best regards,

    Mario
  • I have started the Squid NB example in Horizons.
    Haven't gotten very far.
With the new version of PI just released...I have gotten bogged down in this!
