Unable to add .xisf files to Image Interration

What and I missing? First time using PixInsight and have watched most of the Fast Track videos. After running WBPP, in the Image Integration video, you are instructed to combine the registered files (.xisf). In the add window they do not show up nor can I click on anyone of them and view it. So, what and I missing other than I seem to not have the video codex to read these files? The files are there, I can see them in File Explorer.

  • Can you show me a screenshot?
It sounds like you are not navigating to the your folders? (can you get to your folders on your computer?)
You can add Views or Files... (little arrow)... you want files.

    BlockHead, thanks for responding,
Just a note, I respect your question as being a retired electronic engineer, who also has been in field service and working with computers sense 1986. A long-time user of Photoshop and not bad with siril. My first question was always, "is it plugged in".

OK, I made a mistake. It's the .xdrz files that I can't load in PixInsight, not the .xisf files which do come up in the load window.

folder  fastintegration has .xdrz - file name_c_d_r.xdrz  which are the files that, according to the video are the files that are to be loaded into ImageIntergration. These files do not come up in the load window but are there in Windows Explorer. If I could figure out how to switch drives in PixInsight File Explorer I would check them there too.

folder debayered has .xisf - file name_c_d.xisf. these I can see in the load window.
  • HI Sam,

To load the XDRZ files you need to press the special button in ImageIntegration ("Add Drizzle Files").
When you press this button you will NOT see any XISF files.

Can you please verify this is what you did?
When you say you cannot load... I assume you cannot find the files... not that there is a error.

  • Yes, that is correct. They just didn't show up in the add files window. The Drizzle files did but not the register files. I'll try that but I have now found the FastIntegration Process and I am starting to try it out. so far, so good but then you're told to load the Drizzle files, which loaded.

    Again, thanks for the help
  • Wait..that is all you should see is the Drizzle files when you press the button.
You would have already loaded the XISF files.

Can you point to a timestamp in my video where I do something that you cannot?
I still think there is a misunderstanding.
