Trick for yellow+blue color adjustment

Hi all,

I learned a nifty trick in a video from Adam for using Curves to mimic a Photoshop tool, allowing a way to subtlety bring out some yellows and blues on certain images. Anyway, I had to take a brief hiatus from the hobby but now am back, and I can’t for the life of me remember the values to use in Curves for this. Been digging through the videos, still can’t find it and worried it might be in a video that had been retired or replaced with a new one. Anyone remember this and can can help me out?

Jeff

  • For a, ie Green/Red, the "magic" numbers are 0.35 and 0.65. For b, ie Blue/Yellow, the "magic" numbers are 0.13 and 0.87.
  • Boom, that’s it! Thanks!
  • Yes! Sorry...have been out. Those are the magic numbers.
I can't remember the latest video I demonstrated this... but I intend to make a course on ImageBlend. It will be part of this course tangentially.
