Blobs from stars left after star removal.

So I got a rgb image that I did a very minimum stretch first with GHS then I pulled the stars out with starnet++/ Then I tried stretching the starless with ghs and I got this big, round donuts from stars left. How best to precede or start over? I am suspecting starnet left them or possibly the very first stretch over did it.

  • By stretching...I am guessing you changed the PSFs of stars to such a degree...they no longer look like stars to a StarNet++. Perhaps SXT would do better... but why stretch at all before removing them?

That is the test right?...if you do not stretch...remove the stars and the result is good... then you know your "very minimum stretch" is the issue. If you have a problem before GHS... then searching for that reason is primary.

P.S. I have not worked with Starnet++ is many years now...so I do not know its overall tolerance.
