Download Star Databases

as per instruction downloading star data bases from pixinsite resources does not produce files aceepted by repository management no FTTS OR FTS header therefore not accepted. What next go on line and download form internet directly

    Hi Peter,

    I am not certain I understand the question. The files you are downloading are no FITS files. They are specially made files that formatted to be used in PixInsight. You do not open the files directly (and your computer will have no idea what kind of file it is). You just need to save the files in a place on your computer and set up the GAIA process pointing at these files as I demonstrate.

    I think i was confusing the repository/download system as say for RC Astro products and the set up for the Gaia files.
    Thanks for your prompter that allowed me to proceed
