Help with Multiple Session Grouping Keyword

I am trying to do my first Keyword Grouping using 2 days of captures.  I have followed the video instructions but WBPP only seems to differentiate my flats and not my lights.  I was wondering if anyone can help me understand what I am doing incorrectly.  I have attached a screenshot of the path structure and the screens of WBPP before and after applying the Keyword Grouping.

  • Hi Gary,

You did an excellent thing by including the screenshots of the file folders.
But you do need to include all of the screens of WBPP. (Use the diagnostics tab to create them in one button push). This also helps to make certain the WBPP screen is full... you did no extend the WBPP GUI to the right to expose everything.

But I do see at least one issue.
Before I guess... can you verify that the File names you have do not include "NGC6960" ?

If they did...this would mess up things (and I could tell this if I could see the full GUI!)

  • Thank you and yes NGC6960 is in the filename.  I changed the Directories and Keyword to EVN, but obtained the same result.  I have included the screenshots from WBPP diagnostics.

  • Hmm... everything looks good but the lights are not being discriminated. Are you 100% certain you put one set of lights in one folder and the other set of lights in the other?? I would need to see your screenshot. WBPP is saying all of the lights are in the same place and not separated in folders with the. Your folders should now be named EVA_06302024 and EVA_07012024 and only the "06302024" files (flats and lights) should be in that folder... likewise for the other. Please confirm!

  • No they are in separate folders that's what i cant figure out because it works on the flats and darks in those folders bu tnot the lights.  I have attached screenshots of the directories.

  • The only other thing I could think of is that it does not like that the data inside the directories spans days.  Meaning that the directory labelled EVA_06302024 has lights that are from both 6/60 and 7/1 because the captures span midnight.
  • That is not it as I took all the overlapping lights out and it still does the same thing.
  • Thank you for your help.  I was able to get it to work.  In looking at my own screen shots I realized that after I made the first change you suggested it would have worked but I had inadvertantly not included the lights in the copied directory I made.  thank you for helping me.
  • Indeed! lol
