Error: Error: StarAlignment.sensitivity(): numeric value out of range: -1

I am trying to get to grips with IMAGE_SOLVER script.  When  run, the scrip returns the message Error: Error: StarAlignment.sensitivity(): numeric value out of range: -1this occurs on various images.  Including the example images from the  AB data set of M13

The images all return valid results when run through Astrometry.net.     Any clues please as to what I have not set right or downloaded to PI as it all smacks of something missing. Not to exclude  as well, my ignorance!

Best regards

  • One of the problems I see here is that you are using GAIA DR2 which is not complete...nothing like the new GAIA files. So you are putting yourself behind the eight ball and expecting to pocket the nine and win the game.

I know you might think it crazy... but it works. I suggest getting all of the latest star catalogue files downloaded to your computer. I explain how to do this in the first steps of FastTrack Training.
