Had to cancel WBPP and now it will not run after reset

I had to cancel a WBPP run as I forgot to include the dark frames. It had completed the first 2-3 processes when I cancelled. Here are the steps I followed to restart:

  1. I added 30 dark frames to the Darks folder
  2. Deleted the WBPP2 output folder I was using
  3. Created a new, empty WBPP2 output folder
  4. Reset the WBPP process ... which emptied all the files, but kept the previous settings
  5. Using the magic "folder", reloaded all the files (including the darks)
  6. Selected my CC template
  7. Checked the calibration tab and everything looked fine (all green checks)
  8. Started the process
It hit an error and aborted almost immediately. I am attaching the log file.

Any ideas how I can restart?

Thanks,

Richard

  • Richard,

I am confused..and this might be related.

When you deleted the output folder it is mandatory to clear the cache. The cache data no longer exists because you deleted the files!

In your steps above you state you reset the WBPP process... but you DID NOT state you cleared the cache.

Based on the information you provided and the way you stated the issue, I conclude this is the issue.

  • Thank you for the reply ...

How do I clear the cache? I am aware of the pixinsight settings file. In Windows it is called "pixinsight.ini", and is found in the path:

    "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Pleiades".

This file is quite lengthy ... does it contain some entries (lines) that I must delete to clear? or do I delete the entire file? Is there a command in the PixInsight app to clear the cache?

Thanks again for your excdellent support,

    Richard
  • There is also a WeightedBatchPreprocessing-001-pxi.cache file in the directory with today's date. Is this the one I shold delete?

  • No ... no no... lol
When you open WBBP.... there is a button on the right side for clearing the cache. That is how.

I can't send a screenshot at the moment... but please open WBPP and look for the button on the right side.
