How to create single master with subs of different binning in WBPP

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a single master from subs of different binning in WBPP? If I have 1x1 and 2x2 subs, I get separate masters. I would like WBPP to create a single master. I use manual registration so the registered images will all be the same size.

Thanks,

Bernard

  • WBPP honors binning and will not combine into single masterlight.
I have not tried this, but if you WBPP with a pause, maybe it works?
(I have not tried). You would run WBPP to calibrate all data of both binnings.
Then you would start WBPP from the registration step with the calibrated frames.
I don't know if the logic to separate will happen from that point.

If so, then you simply should follow through with your manual work. Use WBPP to do the calibration- but then just manually do the StarAlignment, LocalNormalization and ImageIntegration.

You could also do a pause, as I suggest above- and then just use an image container to integer resample (upsample) the binned (calibrated) images. Then just load everything back into WBPP and have it do the rest. The integer resample will maintain flux...so the weighting of the data should still be OK.
