NGC 6250 DATA available now

The data for NGC 6250 (again, courtesy of Jose Joaquin Perez...please thank him!) is available now. I would request that if you should share your results...please echo AdamBlockStudios.com and Jose as well!

  • Hi Adam
Many thanks for this nice data set.
    The calibration files are masters.
Is it possible to get 2 bias, 2 darks and 2 flats per filter?
This would be also for the other datasets. This frames should be used for the scripts "basic ccd parameters", "mure denoise" and the new "mure denoise detector settings".

Thanks and have a nice Christmas ***

  • Yes, I guess I could.
I think I do make the numbers (readnoise and gain) available in the video of course (which is what I think my logic was long ago for not including it... you will get the same answer I did).

Do you think it is instructional?
If so, perhaps in the future I will include for sure.

  • Thanks for your answer.
Well the gain is in the fits header and the noise can read in the sensor factsheet.
But with the script CCD Parameter I have the real information.

    BTW
Today, I couldn't align the ha images of ngc6250. After a while I realized that the 6 images *7814 to *7819 has not the same image center like all the others. The shift is about 11° in one axis. All other images are OK.
In a first run I checked it with blink and was the wrong meaning that this is only an image rotation. No, problems came up with the registration…..ok, back to the calibration and start again.
An error or images for mosaics?

    Thanks Ed
