Stretch Academy

Hi Adam,
I like your using Master Class and Stretch Academy as describing portions of your video offerings. I do suggest you put the heading Master Class in the appropriate place on your website such as you do with Stretch Academy.

My real question is if Stretch Academy is replacing all the related videos about stretching that were in Fundamentals (including problem solving section)? As I download the videos into my organized library for offline viewing (and controlling playback speed), I normally just add the new videos as shown in your Most Recent Videos Released list. My problem is know which videos to delete?

Previously I could navigate from a particular new video by clicking the next higher link from an actual video and then see all the videos that belong with that video. Now it seems a bit more complicated as all the Stretch Academy videos seem to be replacing stretch videos, some in different subdomains under Fundamentals. Thus back to my question... How to know which videos to delete for Stretch Academy, and the same question for each video in your Most Recent list? How to know if a new video is replacing something or adding to the knowledge base?

I really like you are continually improving your video offering, and i fully realize it is my responsibility to organize my videos. So your reply on my question is just one of asking your advice/ suggested approach. Thank you in advance!

BTW, I noticed the Fundamental Index listing shows Stretch Academy as having 3 videos, but in reality there are too many oops, I mean 25 videos!

Best regards,
    Roger

  • Hi Adam,
Just noticed there are 2 Stretch Academy Videos that are not listed on your Most Recent Videos Released list:
"Non-Linear Images in a Straightforward Way"
    and
         "Exponential Transform"

  • Hi Adam,
Could you please comment on above posts so I will know if Stretch Academy is replacing other stretch videos, or just supplementing them.
    Thanks,
    Roger
  • Hi Roger,

    So a couple of things.

    1. The number of videos in Fundamentals is grown (and continues to grow). They have different degrees of "freshness" in terms of the evolution of PixInsight. Organization of all of this in either topic or time domains is (as far as I can tell) not possible to make it sensible. So what I have do is created the Fundamentals Path. No videos replace any other. I will remove videos that are simply no longer useful. However I suggest that people follow the Fundamentals path for the core set of videos. This is where most updates will be.

    2. Stretch Academy, like FastTrack Training, is a module. It is a self-contained collection. So videos you click on in Stretch Academy will have a root of Stretch Academy in the bread crumb link trail. However you did identify some of the exceptions: Non-Linear Images in a Straightforward Way" and "Exponential Transform". I do not see a reason to remake these videos- but they clearly belong in terms of topic in Stretch Academy. So they will live in multiple places... I don't mind this. They have a single instance on the Fundamentals Path.

    3. Regarding the number of videos..the numbers do not align pixel perfect- but if you put a ruler on the screen you will see the "3" aligns with a different topic.

So Stretch Academy is not replacing anything. It is new content that either expands on what I have already done (MTF function, slow stretching..)  or offers new material (GHS, Narrowband).

  • Hi Adam,
Thank you for your in depth answer. I agree it appropriate videos can exist in more than 1 place. This way we can approach them according to the route we have chosen, ie Fast Track or Fundamentals, or Stretch Academy.
Yes, Stretch Academy on the Fundamental listing does not perfectly align with the number of videos. That little green asterisk on the Non Linear Images pushes all the left column below it down some.
Many thanks for all your attention and practical thinking.

  • Hello everyone, I need to download the videos so that I can later translate them into Spanish on my computer so I can understand them better. Is there any way to download them?

    greetings from Chile
  • Hi Horacio,

Yes, you can purchase the download feature.
Just go to your account and add a subscription for "Right Click Access" (download).
There is a one-time fee of $20 to turn this on.

If you figure out a good way to translate to spanish... PLEASE let me know!
    Thanks,

  • Hi, Adam. This Memo software can solve translation issues across different languages.                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Thank you for using Memo AI! Below are ten device invitation codes. Any extra codes can be shared with your friends:

  • Hi Jun,

So...I have questions on how this works.
It looks like it can be solution for people.

I would need to make a video on it..but I do not understand how to generally use it.

I did make an English Transcript...and then I pressed the translate button...and it shows the translation in another Language (Italian)...that is awesome. However, can I have it translate my english audio and output Italian (or whatever) directly to a transcript?

Do I need to setup the API stuff? (it seems it wants me to.)

If I recommend for people to by this... I see it looks like it is $25 ...which is cheap!
Will this version have all of the functionality people want?

  • Hi,Adam.

Here is the operation guide for Memo: https://memo.ac/start-here.html

    If you need to convert
    your voice into another language,
such as Italian, I have made a simple video demonstration that you can watch

If you need to convert your voice into more languages, you will need to use the
services of OPEN AI. I failed to invoke their service because I did not
    purchase it.

    Currently, Memo cannot
export TTS videos. This feature is expected to be launched with the version
update in April. Add English (or other language) subtitles to your video, just
    as demonstrated in my video.

    I have a suggestion,
but I'm not sure if it's feasible. You could translate your video subtitles
into various languages and attach them to each video as SRT or LRC files. This
way, we can watch the videos on the ABS website without any barriers.
