WBPP & BINNING PROBLEM

Hi Adam and all.

  I have had this problem a couple times and do not understand the source.  I often shoot with asi294mcPro in Bin 2 mode with my C11 due to the long focal length (about 2000mm w reducer) resulting in smaller files and better sampling.  

When I add the files into WBPP usiing the custom option, and setting Bin2, the binning shows up usually as 2072x1410 in WBPP LIGHTS TAB, BUT OCCASIONALLY  it shows up as 2072x1411.  So wbpp puts it into a different master.

I think I had this occur once when I tried to downsample a block of 1x1 files so I could stack them together with Bin 2, but that is not this case.

I do not understand why the binning would show as different, one time from the next, or how I can prevent or fix it.  In this case I had 916 frames with the odd 1411 setting.

    So the question is... why are you getting two different file sizes?
    Do the raw frames have these two different sizes?
    This is the source of the issue. Files need to be exactly the same number of pixels to be grouped together- there is no exception to this.

    Can this be caused by a write to file error by the camera?  If a line of data was truncated for some reason or ?  Don't know how to diagnose the source.  Suggestions appreciated.

    Didn't address your question.  Yes the raw files show the difference in matrix pattern when loaded into WBPP.

    I had a different WBPP problem with a different data set (heart nebula).  Attaching a screen shot where WBPP just stopped in the Local Normalization process.  Appreciate any suggestions how to diagnose where the problem is caused.

    Think I solved my LN problem above.  Somehow the integration process got UNchecked on the pipeline page.  Sooooo many settings to check and double check.  Nice if you could just save your preferences somewhere in a profile page!  See screenshot if interested. 

    So checked and ran main group of files again. Was able to integrate the main group of 120 sec files successfully and create a nice master.

    You can always set up a "template" (and example settings for WBPP) and save of instance of it. 
    Next time you want to use WBPP..you would open this instance and you have all of your preferences saved.
