MosaicbyCoordinates Bug Update

Its been a few weeks since this bug was reported.  I have yet to see a fix.  Perusing the Pixinsight Forum, I found a post by Juan claiming the bug is fixed and we should see something within a few days.  Many days have passed.  I decided to try his update in the Gitlab opensource repository.  I could tell I way out of my depth here.  Are we supposed to know where this repository is?  Maybe if you don't, you should stop.  Anyway, Juan also gives a link in his long name for the desired folder.  Following this link, I was able to download this folder.  My problem have just begun, though.  This folder contains dozens if not hundreds of scripts.  Using the "feature scripts" command.  Takes me to a menu where the only reasonable thing seems "add".  Using Add, I navigate to my downloaded file.  It seems like, now, hundreds of scripts appear in the window.  There seems nothing to do now but exit.  This seems to do nothing, which I suppose is a relief, as I still have a working Pixinsigfht.  it occurs to me that I only know how to add scripts, not update them.

Any help here would certainly be appreciated.

  • In this case you do not need to install them. You can literally overwrite all of the scripts you downloaded from that folder to your directory. The directory on my Windows machine is this one:

    C:\Program Files\PixInsight\src\scripts\AdP

It worked for me. There are two or three files that depend on each other (out of all of them) for this MosaicByCoordinates fix. I do not know which ones... so you need to just replace all scripts in this directory to update them with the ones you got from the repository

I have been making mosaics without issues since.

  • I think it is also fixed in the latest version released yesterday. I have not downloaded it yet.

  • The Tuesday update didn't fix my MosaicbyCoordinates problem.  It did, however, provide a major improvement to the Measurement section of WBPP.  I can now process large data files.

Your suggestions about the archive worked perfectly and I am now running.
