transfer of STF values to HST

Adam, firstly I would like to thank you for all the help you have been. Your tutorial have been amazing and I learned so much. I actually reference you in an article I wrote for Ammeter Astrophotography online magazine. 


I am going through the Stretch academy to try to fill in gaps in my learning. I am having what seems to be a weirdly easy issue but one that I cat figure out. 

With a color image, after I adjust the STF and drag the triangle to the HST the values do not transfer. 
However when I do that same steps but with an extracted luminance the values transfer. 

Please help me understand what I am doing wrong.

    I explain this exact behavior at around minute 10... but I would reccommend watching the entire video:



    The answer is that with a color image you are transferring the values to the independent color channels... not the "k" channel. See the video.
