Image blown out after DBE

Hi,
I having a issue with screen transfer function after doing dynamic background extraction.
when i load the image first in its usually green tint , i apply a un-linked STF,
things are looking promising,
I then carefully apply a DBE and looking at the background model, it seems correct.
Then I apply another un-linked STF but the image seems to me blown out ?
I appreciate any suggestions.

Hi Padraig,

There are a couple of issues here.

1. In terms of the "blowing out" ... this is just a natural consequence of that fact you have removed the background and a recalculated STF will have higher contrast.

2. The second issue is the dark ringing around the galaxy as per your DBE application.
