Comet Upscale / Rescale

Hi, on the most recent Comet processing on Horizons Adam upscales the images before star extraction using StarXterminator - at which point in the processing should I rescale back to normal? I can't see it mentioned in the tutorial anywhere.  All processes are taking forever now the images are twice as large! :)

    The difference with upscaling may not be critical. Which video are you watching?
    Once you have removed the stars... you can go back down at any time.

    You are right...I never did. However, once you have extracted the stars- you can basically resample 50% (back to original) at any time. It did not slow me down to keep it large- since we are basically just working with a single integrated color image after the images are combined. 

    You should test SXT on a single calibrated frame and see if it makes a difference between running it on a resampled image or not. If you do not think it matters based on the star residuals you see...then do not bother!
