Any simple workflow for integrating the rc-astro tools into FastTrack?

I'm fiddling around with StarXTerminator and would like to try the other two but I'm spending a lot of time trying to figure out the best places to insert it into the workflow?

When shooting the Orion nebula I love that I can separate the nebula from the stars, and that the star background is dark and most noise seems to be on the nebula side where it's probably easier to deal with. I then reassemble the two parts with PixelMath which is new for me but it works.

I've not tried the deblur or noise reductions tools yet.

How are others using these new tools?

  • BTW - to be clear I did NOT mean adding any rc-astro tools to the actual FastTrack training. I only meant having done FastTrack where might I add them into that basic flow, if anywhere.
  • Yeah... give me some time!

    lol
But I do not think there is a big secret here.

With respect to and RGB image, it would be DBE, SPCC, BXT, ... etc.
LRGB imagery puts a little wrinkle in there since in general you need the L and RGB image to be non-linear before combining them. Thus there are some consequences.
