Patreon

Adam,

I see a couple of items that seem to need a Patreon account.  More than happy to do so, but how to do it seems more than hidden.

  • Hi Steve,

I am laying some groundwork here..but I have not started this. I am not certain I will be able to before the end of the year.

Please look for an announcement soon (If I do it). As you know, PixInsight and many other "youtubers" are producing content. In order to survive I will need to change my way of doing things in order to continue. Patreon might be a way- I do not know if it is the best way.

It is unofficial- but you are welcome to see the direction I am tentatively going.

  • I don't know if it's the best way, but it's a good way for people who see your value to them to help out.  I don't know that anyone gets rich off Patreon, but I do know a few who do very well.

I see a lot of value in your content.  Referred by a couple of different people on CN when I was looking for some 1:1 mentoring.   this is close enough that I'm already benefiting from your content and hope you continue.

Another option with a good following is merchandise.  Either seperate or as part of a Patreon Teir.  Wearables work well.  Funny today I was wearing a shirt from Patriot Astro, and it sparked a conversation/outreach for both him and for my local astronomy club.
