Ou4 Nebula

Hi Adam,

Will you be making the data for the Ou4 Nebula available for download?

  • That is tricky. This is Telescope Live data.
I will need to ask about this. The data set is Huge because of the number of hours.
(and a good fraction of it is not so great)

    so...TBD

  • Thanks Adam, I have not been able to do any imaging since September due to rain and clouds and life, so hungry for some data to process.

  • I did ask. TelescopeLive says this is a very special dataset (they are working on collecting even more OIII data!). So you can get the dataset and others by becoming a member.

    Hi Adam,
Your promo makes the pricing quite reasonable...
    2 months x $19 x 50% = $19
    5 credits to start + 20 x 2 month = 45 credits.

For 'grabbing' the 54 hours data (assuming the amount of data to grab has not increased) needs about 54 credits (including the 10% grab discount).
Then need 9 more credits at about $1 each.
    Total cost is about $54

For learning purposes I guess 45 credits of data would be just fine with probably about 40hrs data.
I could also use my own data on another object for learning.

For my simplicity, I really prefer your data Adam, for future Cosmic Canvas training.;))

  • I bit the bullet and bought some credits.. unfortunately, there are only 32x 600 sec O3 subs in the set I have downloaded... there are no trace of the 1200 sec O3 subs :( the data set contains 32x 600 sec subs of Ha, O3 and S2 filters, totaling to 16 hours...
  • Well, it appears those 20 minute exposures were hidden somewhere else :(
