APASS / GAIA Catalogs download - failing

HI all - new subscriber to ABS here....

Am trying to download the APASS and GAIA catalogs as suggested, but the constantly fail.

I have posted on the PI forum, but wondered if anyone had successfully managed to get them?

    Well... I believe most people do. This is not an issue I hear being reported as a common issue.

    You don't live in Australia do you Darren?
    We have 3rd world broadband speeds here - I'm downloading the APASS DR10 catalog at a blistering 100 - 250 kb/s. If my connection doesn't dropout I may get all of the catalogues in about a week :))

    It is a good idea to use a browser (I believe Chrome has this) that will resume the download if interruptions occur.

    Darren,
    If a download fails, and using Chrome, then you can right click the little downloading window (showing hours/days to completion), and click resume. It picks up quite well. No need start again.
