The 4 Part explanation of how/why these weighting methods work is spot on for what i like about your videos. Additionally you tested them with different data sets and show how much different (and similar) they work. Perfectly done.
I also watched most of the same subject in your YouTube videos. I compared the Part 1's in Fundamentals to Part 1 on Youtube (side by side). The audio seem to show you have an 'alter-ego'! I mean that in a nice way. I think it difficult to keep track of what you say for the two distribution channels. You are a natural, and us subscribers get to benefit from the additional explanations in Fundamentals.
I agree CCD Stack, way back then, did a great job. Long before I started astro-imaging!
Now my question....
If you integrated your testing data set(s) according to each of the different weighting factors and compared the results would you predict a visible quality difference? I anticipate you say yes. Then would it be valid to feed the integrated results into subframe selector and see how it weights each integration result? For using NSG to check, John Murphy only says interesting idea.
