I just tried Russell Croman's new NoiseXTerminator for PixInsight and am really impressed with the results. This could be revolutionary. Has anyone else tried it?

    Yes, it is incredible.

    I've only tried it on one recent OSC (galaxy) image, but the results were impressive, better than my regular noise reduction with MLT/ACDNR & TGVDenoise. I also did a comparison with an old copy of Topaz DeNoise and it was also much better than that too.
    It's still quite easy to overdo the noise reduction, but I think I'll be using NoiseXterminator as my default from now on.
