NSC & Satellite trails

I'd like to ensure some satellite trails are rejected by ImageIntegration (by drawing a black line over them). Using NSG to create the Local Normalisation files, is it best to paint over the trails before or after running the NSG script?
Many thanks

  • Hi Ivor,

If you are generating normalizedfiles... you would paint over them after they are written to disk. If you are using local normalization (and not outputting intermediate files)- it is best to do it on the registered (pre-NSG) files.

The same logic applies for native processing in PI.

Really it should not matter much. As long as you put black pixels there- rejection will occur no matter what (with a low range enabled). So it is the rejection math that matters most.
