Insert RGB Stars into Narrowband Image

I watched your Horizons video on how to insert RGB stars into a Narrowband Image. It was great as usual. But I cannot seem to find any information on how to insert RGB stars from a different camera. My telescope is a William Optics FLT 156, I took my narrowband image using a ZWO 1600MM camera with a FOV of 1.04x0.79 degrees, and my RGB image with a ZWO 2600MC-Pro with a FOV of 1.38x0.92 degrees. I assume that I should use a star alignment process first. Could you suggest a method to do this, presumably it is not an uncommon situation.

    Did you watch the section on NGC 3199?
    I did this there. Let me know if I am on track by providing these kinds of videos.

    Hi Adam - yes I am working my way through NGC 3199 now, ran into major problems with the length of the file names in WBP, eventually figured out the issue, shortened a few directory names and got it going. I am up to the star removal section, really enjoying your videos, fantastic. Rgds, Ray

    If you are on windows (and a reasonably current one), you can set the OS to allow long file names, and when you restart PI it will honor it and stop getting screwed up. 


    That's been true for the last couple releases if I recall, I know it is true in 1.8.9.

    Many thanks Linwood, that is excellent information, it was a real struggle trying to find out what was going on. I will definitely implement that fix, thanks again.
