Background level 0

Hello Adam.

I am running WBPP v. 2.1.2 and when I am executing Linear Pattern Subtraction for my O images, I error out with a message stating that my Background Level is 0.  It goes on to say "Please select a background area with a higher signal level.  We recommend checking your image since it could have a large proportion of clipped data."

Not all O images return this error; the first six images succeeded.  Can you please advise?  Thank you.

Alan

  • I wonder... have you investigated the use of a pedestal for your narrowband data?
(Did you watch this section?) This might be a good avenue to pursue- assuming there isn't a real calibration error.

  • Hello Adam.

Your suggestion worked.  So did watching your video on the topic.  Thank you.
