FastTrack Training - Downloading Star Catalogues

Hi, I have downloaded the Star Catalogues as advised in the FastTrack suite to a folder in a spare SSD. I have two questions:
1. how do I know if PI is accessing these file or just going to the Internet as before?
2. Do I need to point PI at this folder?

I have also attached a sample of the download files. thay don't look like Adam's example in the training material. (PI was 1.8.8-8 at the time of download. Is now 1.8.8-9.) 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    HI Colin:

    Those "part" files are indicative of an interruption when you were downloading the catalogs. I do not think have have success yet. 

    When you have downloaded and enabled the catalogs-  you can tell you are using them because it will say so in the console when you run PCC.
