WBPP not grouping OSC data by keyword when using "Add Custom" to identify filter

Hi everyone! I need some help with WBPP. I am trying to have WBPP give me 2 master OSC light files, one from my D1 (Ha/Oiii) filter and one from my D2 (Sii/Oiii) filter. The images were taken over four nights and grouped by keyword in WBPP. Problem is, the lights are getting grouped by exposure and NOT by keyword so the properly grouped flats are not being applied to the improperly grouped lights (see calibration tab). 

Since I don't have a filter wheel, I have used the "Add Custom" tab in WBPP to assign the filters to the lights and flats. - I suspect this may be the issue and would then be looking to report a bug to the PI team, *IF* my understanding on this issue is correct.

Same results whether the lights and flats reside in the same folder or if they are in a separate light or flat folder under Pelican_2023XXXX. Also get same results if top folder Pelican2023 is changed to IC5070 - Having the Keyword in an upper level folder seemed to be the case for a previous post. Anyway the video on multi night grouping has "M1" and "M1Crab" folders, so I suspected it shouldn't matter as long as I didn't have an underscore at the top folder that included the keyword used to ID the grouped subfolders. Your calibration tab looks correct to me. You have custom filters that you assigned and they are being calibrated by the flats from two filters taken on two different nights. So you have unique flats on two nights... which are calibrating the D1 filter (two different flats) and D2 filter (two different flats). The Keyword is Pelican and the values are numbers that represent the nights.

This may not be what you want though... you are saying you have D1 across 4 nights..but it is only showing up in two unique nights. My suggestion is to post ALL of the WBPP panels... use the Diagnostics button to generate the panels. Also, take screen shots of your directories and some files in them.

Sorry if that was confusing: I have D1 data from two nights and D2 data from two nights (4 total nights).

Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be... I'm getting an error message that they are not being calibrated with flats on the diagnostic pop-up. Or am I not understanding the error message?

You have two problems.

Do you see that "Pelican" for the your lights refers to a value of "180s" and NOT the date?

Your Light Frame has the word "Pelican" in it followed by "180s" ...this is the issue. You need your keywords to be independent and UNIQUE. You have Pelican in BOTH your folder name and your file name. 

You need to understand that folders and filenames are in the same string of characters that is scanned..it is the full path statement that is scanned for keywords.

So if you give your folders a really unique name that exists nowhere else... then the keyword will not collide with anything else. So name your Folders ThePinkBird_20230704 ... etc. Then input the keyword ThePinkBird as a key word.

Secondly.. I do not believe you want to use the keyword for POST processing. Right? Don't you want all of the nights in each filter combined?? So only have this keyword used for PRE processing. 

So, please set this up... and lets go from there.

Ok great, got it. I totally missed that it was in the filename and that it, too, would be scanned. 

It looks way better now, going to press the RUN button now. Thank you very much for your help! This was my first post in the forums and am very impressed with the level of support! Made my purchases on your site well worth it!
