Narrowband 2-Panel Mosaic with Adam Block color modifier approach

Adam,
How would you approach 2 panel Photometric Mosaic of Narrowband data using your color modification approach?
To use the color modification, you use starless images? However you could of previously added the image analysis.
But I am not sure how photmetricmosaic would operate in starless images.
I find if i combine the Panels (1&2) before color modification the geometries of each channel have changed in the photometric mosiaic
procedure and the files are rather large.
Just wondered if you could suggest any guidance?

Thanks Brent

  • Hi Brent,

I have not looked into this.
My gut says you need to assemble the mosaic first and then later extract the channels to give you your base Ha, OIII, SII data. A color image is just a container, a multiplex. The data really isn't touched (other than whatever Photometric mosaic needs to do to blend seamlessly). I haven't done a mosaic in NB before. So there are likely nuances I do not yet know.
