Strange Behaviour When Sharing an Unstretched Image?
I’m sure it must be my early/limited knowledge of Pixinsight, but I thought this was/is perhaps a strange issue.
I attempted to send an unstretched image to a friend. His reaction was that the image was not unstretched as it opened in his version of Pixinsight as stretched and the STF would not reset the values to unstretched. When I saved the file only the STF had been applied and no HT used at all. The color on the ID was green. I reset the STF (to no screen stretch) and saved the image again, sent it, and this file behaved as expected. I don’t understand this at all. Why should the saved file have a memory of the STF?
