Generalized Hyperbolic Stretch

Hi Adam; do you have a tutorial on the Generalized Hyperbolic Stretch Script?  I've heard about it but I do not know much about how to use it, even after reading the documentation.

  • Not yet..but my "state of the studios" e-mail from a few weeks ago mentioned this is on my list. Did you get the e-mail?? (You can read it, it is a link at the top of the members' page when you log in- you can also join the e-mail list if you are not already on it).

  • Yes, I did get the email but sorry, must have missed this specifically.  I'll wait for it to come out.

    Thanks

I am looking forward to you covering GHS.  I have had great results from it but have to admit more by trial and error.  Your instruction videos always 'hit the spot'..... enough to truely understand what is going on without being stupidly technical.
  • The creators of this script, David Payne and Mike Cranfield , have some excellent tutorial videos on youtube. A quick search will lead you to them.
  • I hope people are aware, I have started to publish videos under the new "Stretch Academy."
It should become obvious the way I teach this subject is different... but it should also be obvious why I am choosing to do it this way vis a vis GHS among other things.

I hope to publish more videos in Stretch Academy today in fact.

  • I’ll be headed to Stretch Academy as soon as I get home.
  • I did upload more videos...
but still have many more to go (in my head).

  • Fantastic job on your explanations, Adam.  You obviously work hard on creating these videos, but you also have a gift of explaining things (in addition to astrophotography).  Looking forward to the rest of the series...  Thanks for creating this resource on stretching and of course, your other great videos as well!  So helpful...

    Dave,

You can certainly see the direction I am going by concentrating on the shapes of functions and what they do.
This lays the groundwork for explaining GHS in a way that I think is beneficial.
I am pretty busy right now...but the path is clear in this series.
