I have just watched Adam's highly informative video on the use of the impossible-to-pronounce .xnml files in the paid version of the NSG script. I am confused about one thing, however, as the latest version of NSG (2.2.2) has some differences!
In the Output Files section of the script, we are to select the Normalization Data box and leave the Normalized Images box unchecked. When Adam does so in his video, he has manually written in the word NWEIGHT in the WEIGHT box in that section. This latest version of NSG, however, grays out that box when we have the Normalization Data box checked, and has something called PSF Scale SNR automatically selected.
And once the script has been run, the ImageIntegration process that auto-populates afterward also has PSF Scale SNR selected for the weights to be used.
My question is: should I leave this as is and use PSF Scale SNR as the weights in ImageIntegration, or should I use the FITS keyword NWEIGHT, as Adam did in his YouTube video, even though NWEIGHT is no longer an option in the NSG script when checking the Normalization Data box?
