Gedr3 vs Gdr3

Hi Adam,

I just watched your latest Fastrack Gaia downloading video. I may have missed it, but should I be downloading gdr3 data files and delete the gedr3 files I downloaded in Feb 2021? 

How would I know if there are future updates of gdr3 files? ie would they create a new series of file names, or just replace the files with new ones of the same name? I think hard to detect without some revision in the file name.

It is true, I do not think you need the EDR3 Files any longer. The DR3 is complete as far as I know. Only a new survey would be released, not an update to DR3 with similar files. You would not know about updates/new surveys  unless the developers (Juan) of PixInsight announce it. These files are formatted in such a way they play well with Pixinsight (they are PixInsight specifically formatted).
