A problem with Image Solver
This weekend I learned the benefit of joining Adam Block Studios. I emailed Adam Friday night asking for his help on my first mosaic. I was struggling with Image Solver. Adam requested that I send him one of the images that I was struggling with. His analysis indicated that the focal length and pixel size I was using was incorrect. He recalculated those values. Even with the new values I couldn’t get the images to plate solve. Adam then made a step by step video demonstrating how to correctly use the IS script. The video clearly showed what I was doing wrong. Yes, Adam Block Studios' video tutorials are excellent but joining the program provides benefits that go beyond the videos. Adam is determined to teach his student how to use astrophotography’s tools no matter what it takes.
