Previews

edited April 2022 in General
HI,

I am very much a newbe with PI.

I was watching your video about Previews while trying to solve a different problem I am having.  In the video you press a button on your taskbar and it brings up the ability to draw a Preview Box.  I don't have that button.  I have lots of other buttons relating to Previews since I have the Preview task bar turned on but I do not have that particular button.  The closest I have is an Add Preview button which brings up a screen to specify coordinates and size for the Preview in pixels.  Not very useful.  Same with the Preview tab.  No button to draw a Preview.

How do I get to where I can draw a Preview window?  Is there a setting somewhere I am missing?

  • Hi Chuck,

The button you are looking for is in the MODE menu (not the Preview tools... which is what you have). Under View navigate to toolbars and make the Mode tool bar visible. Then you will see the button I use. The MODE menu is displayed by default I believe- so you might have unchecked it at some point.

    Let me know....

  • I found it.  Thanks.

It was in a different location on the toolbar than it was on your screen so I was looking in the wrong place.
