Your Data for Processing Tutorials vs The Rest Of Us :)

Hi,

I wonder if it would be more useful (to a lot of subscribers) if you used less than ideal data for some of your tutorials. Meaning, it is great to get that high quality data from atop a mountain but most of use have to process data taken through light polluted areas. Maybe get some of the members to submit their data for your processing as most of us will have the same issues to deal with. Maybe you are already doing this?

  • Hi Tony,

Absolutely. I believe I am currently accommodating your request!
The NGC 6888 data from Ed Stuckey in Pixinsight Horizons was acquired from Detroit. I am pretty sure that qualifies! The NGC 6946 data, also mountaintop stuff, is a very short total integration time which has its own issues. There is also a future data set I will be publishing, from another member soon as well.

So I am on board with this... it is a common request...and I think I am doing it!
    Thanks,
