I tried to not give it all away. The main issue with LocalNormalization was the total lack of documentation and no understanding of what it was actually doing or how to really take advantage of it. Great Job. I am now going through the star removal videos. I would love to see a tutorial on using the starless version to act similarly to Screen Mask Invert in Photoshop for enhancing the dim background. I have done it recently but with a sub optimal starless version. I hope to try it with the improved technique from your video.
