What is the correct color?
Hi,
when I search for pictures of a nebular, I can find the same nebular in many different colors. I am pretty new in using PI and astronomy and photgraphy.
Personally, I would like to design my pictures in such a way that a high degree of naturalness is preserved. So when I edit a picture I come to the point that the colors change significantly. An example: What was red and green first becomes maybe orange or something like that. Looks nice too. But at some point I ask myself if I have strayed too far from reality.
For the stars I can use the Photo Metric Calibration and I am happy with that process and the result.
Is there something similar existing where I can check are my colors fine oder did I go to far in processing.
Is it simply the consistence of the object that solves my problem?
