TIF Files in PixInsight

I have a data set that consists of a set of TIF files, which I am trying to process with PixInsight.  I can perform some of the basic operations on the files (such as image integration), but I cannot get PixInsight to recognize them as colour images, even if I save them as xosm files.  For example, when I go to do a channel combination, even though I have several images, when I go to select them, I get an error message saying that there are no compatible images. 

Any suggestions?

Sorry, that should be xisf files.

Screenshot? When you open them, do they say RGB images or "Gray" ... make one available?

They are shown as RGB, even though they are from single filters.

I figured it out.  I just had to do a channel extraction and then work on the individual colour channels.
