More help please

Adam
I really appreciate you reaching out to me the other day and giving me some help on my flat field issues. You told me that I had a "light leak" in my flats and that certainly was the case. However my over correction still persists. It seems I have multiple issues that I have never encountered before. I would like to send you my last session of data I collected with all the calibration frames. I'm sure you could find what's wrong. I'd be happy to pay you for your time. For me it's a total head scratcher.

I've attached the last image I took. The only additional process that I've done to it was a DBE.

  • We spoke on the phone, but to me this looks like classic scattered light in the optics when generating the flat field images. The bright inner spot is due to  cylindrical scattering and the fact the optics are a newtonian telescope with the flat panel inches away from the entrance aperture for the camera... only strengthens my conviction. Flocking surfaces and moving  the flat panel away from the aperture can likely help a bunch.
