Still getting debayer marks on images after following fasttrack

Sorry for the noob question.  I followed the Fastrack videos on a number of my own images and I'm still getting evidence that the image or parts of the image are not being debayered correctly.  I can see visible banding on what should be the final image.  I know TPBTKAC but I am not sure what I'm doing.  I attached the .fit file exported without the STF applied but you can see the bands.  I suspect it is in the batch processing section.  I thought I was sure to be applying the debayer to the Flats as that is were I suspected the issue to be.  Could this be coming from the darks or bias?

  • Hi Phillip,

With respect to horizontal banding in your image- this isn't a debayering issue. Instead, this deals with the nature of your sensor itself. I am not familiar with the one you are using...but there exist some banding reduction algorithms that can help with this effect.

There some a chance that this could be a calibration issue as well.. I can't say from this image- but if you took fasttrack to heart- you can rule out some things and convince yourself where the problem likely is.

Sometimes in this situation, posting an image like this to the PI ofificial forum might be helpful for responses as well!

  • Interesting.  That shot was from a Skyris 236C CMOS camera.  I have a different one, however, from a ASI533MC that showed the same thing.  I will do some looking into banding issues and how they can be resolved.  Thanks for the heads up.  Like I said.... I was 99% sure TPBTKAC but just was not sure where to look.  You've pointed that out so now I have someplace to start.  Thanks much!
