NBRGBCombination Removed from New PI Release

The NBRGBCombination scripts has been removed from the new release of PI due to it being determined that it is 10 year old technology that has not been maintained.  This is a shame as it was a simple approach to add Ha to a camera color image.  It has been stated that this can be done using PixelMath.  Can you explain exactly how?

Thanks,
Bruce

    I forgot to add........

What I have done to mimic the NBRGBCombination script somewhat when using a dual narrowband filter like the L-eNhance is to create a synthetic luminance from the R channel. I perform an ABE (or DBE), and CC on the color image and then add the synthetic L from the R- channel (essentially Ha in this case from the filter) and continue to post-process the image. It not only enhances features but it makes the color more realistic, I think, by removing any parts that have the cherry-red appearance. However, this is all personal preference stuff.
  • You can also find NBRGBCombination script in the script folder of the previous version and manually copy and import it to the new PI version.
  • Thank you, Michael.
