Image Sonificaton

  I may be asking about something that is old hat as I'm uneducated about the subject.  So I beg your indulgence.  I've just started looking into sonification of AP images and I was wondering if PI developers have any thought to branching out in that direction.  I'm fascinated by the possibilities of creating an auditory aspect of our hobby.

I do not think this has reached the realm of any image processing programs we use. 

This is certainly something professionals do quite often to help explain certain phenomena. 

It would not be heard to program really- to equate a brightness with a sound.

There is also a community that creates books like this (astronomy/space books) for the blind. So it does exist out there.
