What is the best way to add back stars removed by StarXterminator? Does it work for both linear and non-linear images?

Hi Donald,
I have two interviews with Russ Croman on the details of this that answer your question:

In addition, I demonstrate the answer in a number of videos.
The simple answer is that:
1. If the images are linear, you add the stars back using Pixel Math. This is simple addition.
2. If the images are non-linear you screen them back. There are several methods for doing this (ImageBlend or PixelMath expression).
For #1 you can review this video:
However, #2 is the far more common method to work with the stars and incorporate them into the image.
Just look at any of the workflow videos (such as the LDN 183 example

)
