Key Words in WBPP

Adam

I watched the video on custom key words, but I am still a bit confused.  I have two sets of data from two different scopes and individuals who used different naming conventions for the files.

Example for Ha data:
Sh2-129 - 311d_600sec_1x1_AHa3nm_2024-10-12_201633_-10C_gain_100_O30_004_c.xisf
2024-10-13_21-45-18_Ha_-5.00_600.00s_0001Sh2 129.fits

Same exposure, same filter type, same camera with same gain but different sensor temp.  Scope focal lengths are different and images taken on different nights.

Suggestions appreciated.

  • Bruce,

You need to refine your question. You are showing two different types of files. One of them apparently was calibrated in Pixinsight with WBPP. The other, the FITS, ...I don't know... maybe this is raw data?

That is a different kind of project. You would normally be starting with all raw or all calibrated.
I thin you need to think about this...then you can think about the keyword issue.

If you do have a mixed set of data. What you would normally do is calibrate the raw data alone as a stand alone step. Then once *all* of the data is calibrated you can proceed with the post processing in WBPP.

    None of this requires keywords.

  • Sorry- I think the question is still valid but I showed you the wrong data.  These are two subs representing raw data from the two different scopes that I loaded in WBPP.  I have 89 from one scope and 98 from the other scope.

The represent Ha data taken from the same object.  If I try to use Ha as a key word, it does not work.
