Any advice about capturing C/2023 A3 with a telescope of long focal length? I want to try with a CDK 17 (2939mm of focal length), using a 3.75 pixel size mono camera.
Do you know how many variations I have in CometAcademy?? LOL
Apparently not enough! My concern is that people find it overwhelming... so that sometimes frustrates people... but then they are also frustrated if they cannot find the exact demonstration for their situation!
I think the examples I did with the astrograph are all going to be relevant even for longer focal lengths. Everything from the calculation of the exposure times to the ways to process the data.
So there isn't anything in pariticular for a longer focal length other than adjusting some of the acquisition needs.
Thanks Adam! And what about the capture of stars, when you already did a comet tracked capture? Any special advice? Or just capture the the RA/DEC of the comet, but tracking stars instead of the comet?
