walking noise

I spent some time going through the pixinsight M101 tutorial for LRGB + Ha processing using the sample data from Hellas-Sky. The sample data master lights had a surprisingly large amount of walking noise that I tried removing with pattern subtraction without much success. I'm not losing any sleep over this one but am just curious if anyone has come up with a good way to address this.

  • Not really.
If the correlations are the issue... you *can* do something...I am not saying it is great.
You can use the noise generator to *add* a tiny bit of noise and randomize the pattern a bit.
You would need to do this at the lowest brightness levels (up to the brightest walking pattern).

Like I said... not a brilliant idea.
